- Lift up shock absorber damper rod cover to gain access to shock absorber protective cap.
- Thoroughly clean area indicated Fig.1228567.1 .
- Apply adhesive to area indicated Fig.1228567.1 .
- Fit shock absorber protective cap into position.
- DO NOT move vehicle for 6 hours to allow adhesive to cure.
- Repeat procedure for opposite side, if necessary.

- Inspect wheel arch lining for signs of contact with front anti-roll bar.
- If contact has occurred: Remove wheel arch lining and discard retaining nuts Fig.1266488.1 . Elongate wheel arch lining hole to make a 7 mm slot Fig.1266488.2 . Modify wheel arch lining by cutting off area indicated Fig.1266488.3 . Fit wheel arch lining using new retaining nuts Fig.1266488.1 . Ensure wheel arch lining is pushed up as far as possible. Caution: All models with active height control suspension. Ensure suspension ride height sensor securing clip positioned in correct hole . Repeat procedure for opposite side.

- Refit transmission oil gallery plate using new retaining bolts. Tightening torque: 10 Nm. Observe correct transmission oil gallery plate retaining bolt tightening sequence Fig.1217801 .
- Top up transmission oil as required.
